Meet our Partner, Emma Milliner
My name is Emma, I graduated from my first degree in Animal Biology in 1994. I studied Veterinary Medicine and Surgery at The Royal (Dick) Veterinary School, Edinburgh and qualified as a Vet in 1999. My first job was in the Forest of Dean, where I met my husband, Shane. We moved to Exmouth where I worked in a small animal hospital for 15 years gaining skills in general practice, medicine and soft tissue surgery. I have been an Official Veterinary surgeon, working on behalf of the British Government issuing passports and export certificates since 2000. I qualified as a Clinical Coach in 2002 and have been instrumental in the training of Veterinary Nurses since then. I have recently completed the training to become an RCVS Veterinary Graduate Development Programme Adviser supporting new Vets as they embark on their careers. I have a special interest in surgery but love all aspects of my work. Outside of work, I enjoy painting, reading, and spending time with my children and two crazy Border Collies Penny and Dug.

The reception area was clean and staff were professional and efficient. The consulting room was mainly clean although there was a small piece of cat treat on the weighing scales. I asked for my cat's claws to be clipped after her check up and the vet seemed a tiny bit lacking in confidence (possibly new to the practice?) but was kind and did the job with care and professionalism, however I was not told that it would be charged extra and had a surprise when I received an invoice.

The entire team is so welcoming and friendly from the moment you walk in. The vet is always highly informative and treats our cats with so much love and genuine care. It is a fantastic practice and a very pleasant place to visit.

The receptionists were friendly, the nurse helpful and vet Emma knowledgeable, professional but friendly and empathetic. I would not hesitate to recommend this vet practice.

Having recently acquired our new little pup ,Missy (a rescue ) we wanted to have her checked out to ensure she had the best start on her new journey and following the care given to our previous doggies booked her in with Emma and the team at Medivet .From arrival through to departure all was first class , reception team very helpful and we signed up to Pet Plan for future peace of mind .Emma carried out a thorough health check to her normal high standard offering various tips on diet and general health reassuring us that we had a very healthy little girl who is booked in for a follow up next week . Our experience was one of a very professional team who obviously really care about there clients and most importantly the little ones who mean so much to them.Well done

Crowds Flock to Medivet Weymouth Garden Party for Grand Opening
Medivet Weymouth threw open its doors on 23 June 2019 to give visitors a much anticipated behind-the-scenes glimpse of its newly refurbished practice.
Sunday’s Garden Party was formally opened by guest of honour and nonagenarian former owner David Ball. As well as drinks, games and fun activities - inside and out - visitors were lucky enough to take away a voucher for a free pet consultation at the practice.
The branch is one of the first in the country to roll out a brand new look for Medivet group, which better reflects the exceptional quality of care offered to pets and their owners.
