We had a health scare with our cat, Mimi, which led booking a next day, 6pm appointment at Medivet New Cross. The next day the receptionist called just before 2pm, and informed that the vet seen my notes of my cat’s symptoms and wants to see my cat earlier. A 3pm appointment was offered which I gladly accepted. This made me feel cared, both the vet and the receptionist, Simona understood how worrying can be when our furry friends are unwell. Upon arrival we had wait about 5mins for the vet (totally acceptable for me) and once we were in the room, she did a very throughout check on my cat. She offered but not pushed for a blood test too. She very informative with me and very gentle with my cat. Sadly I haven’t catch her full name, but she was wonderful. Mimi was given the all clear and later that afternoon the vet called me to let me know that my cat’s blood test results were all good. I can’t wish for a better care, thank you!

We had a health scare with our cat, Mimi and I decided to book a vet appointment. There was an appointment next day at 6pm, which I managed to book.
The next day just before 2pm I had a missed call and voice note from the Medivet New cross reception, and when I returned the call I got through quickly. The vet read my cat’s symptoms and wanted to see her earlier and the receptionist arranged an earlier appointment. I really appreciated this, I felt they care about my cat and they understand my worries. Upon arrival we had to wait about 5minutes for the vet. Once we were in the room she has done an incredible, detailed check on my cat, offered but not pushed for a blood test (to be on the safe side) and was very informative with me, and very gentle with my cat. Unfortunately I have not got the full name of the doctor, but she was incredible.
Mimi was given the all clear, the vet called later that afternoon just to tell me the blood test result were good too. I felt cared and I felt everyone, including the receptionist Simona understood how important my little furry friend for me.

Good vet, dodgy finances. Received a request for an outstanding bill for a consultation that happened a year ago and the clinic asked me to show a bank statement to prove the the payment happened admitting that they might have messed up on their side. People pay vet services on site and in full. Outrageous to ask for sensitive data! And a year later !

Beware if you use this practice and keep receipts for everything. They raised a billing issue with me over two years after the appointment, long after I had moved and stopped using them. By leaving it so long, they took away any opportunity for me to properly challenge what they now claim happened at the appointment. I'm simply expected to accept their version of events years later and make additional payment, despite having no way to verify it myself. I find it unacceptable that a professional practice can come back years later and effectively add treatments to an appointment when there is no longer any realistic way for a customer to dispute it. Their administration and record-keeping have left me with very little confidence in the practice.

I brought my dog to the surgery for a free dental checkup. I was seen before my appointment time, so I didn’t have to wait in the waiting room for more than a few minutes. The vet carried out a thorough check of Cody’s teeth and gave me some useful advice on cleaning his teeth and diet. I also told the vet about the fact Cody appears to have lost some weight since my last visit a year ago. Again, she recommended some changes to his diet, listened to his heart and tummy and recommended some minor changes to his diet. I left the surgery completely satisfied with the help and advice I had received from the vet.

I came back after a few years to this clinic after my previous cat died. They still had wrong data in their system even if I had already settled every payment. The vet used their trick of using extra tools to check my cat health without telling me in advance the price and making me believe it would have been included in the general check. This is their usual behaviour here in my experience and probably due to mandate to make profit for the big corporation. I had to suggest to check ears and weight to the vet. I’m surprised it didn’t come from them.

For some strange reasons my account showed still some missing payments which were paid years ago now.
As usual the vet had to use extra tools to do checks to my cat without consulting with me and letting me know the extra cost before using them making me believe that they were included in the general visit price. This is what you get with big corporation unfortunately. It’s all about the money and not about the health of your pet.
