Lead Veterinary Surgeon

After graduating in Milan in 1998, I obtained my licence to practice as a veterinarian in 1999. From 1999 to 2004, I worked in various veterinary clinics Italy whilst finishing my PhD. In 2005, I moved to England where I have continued to practice my profession successfully. I am a General Practioner, I have an interest in Internal Medicine, in particular Emergency and critical care, Soft Tissue Surgery, Ophthalmology, Endocrinology, and Ultrasound. I have also experience in orthopaedic surgery gained while working for a veterinary charity. I have worked in different Veterinary Hospitals in the UK holding the role of Senior Veterinary Surgeon and mentoring young vets. During my professional career, I have always been kept updated and continue to do so by attending courses and conferences; furthermore, I am the author and co-author of scientific publications. Recently, I am finishing the qualification to become an OV (Official Veterinarian) to issue pet passports and/or Animal Health Certificate for non-commercial export of companion animals. Since April this year, I am the Lead Veterinary Surgeon at Medivet Welling Practice where I am enjoying working with a very skilled team of vets, nurses, VCA and receptionists. All together we are delivering the best veterinary care for our long standing and new clients.

Head Veterinary Nurse

Hi, I'm the head nurse here at Medivet Welling. I am born and bred Medivet, having started out as a PCA at Medivet Greenwich 8 years ago and worked my way up over the years. I qualified in May 2021 where i became a night nurse at the busy Dartford hospital gaining experience in ECC, anaesthesia and inpatient care. From this i went on to become a consult nurse, floating to different practices in the region setting up nurse consults and helping to train others in consult nursing. My dream was always to become head nurse at Welling as i believe the practice to have so much potential and the existing staff to be the most caring team i have ever had the pleasure to work with. I hope we surpass your expectations of us as a team as we strive to keep your furry friends healthy and happy.

Veterinary Nurse

Hello, I'm Lorraine. I've been a Veterinary Nurse for several years, training at the Blue Cross animal hospital where I worked for over 21 years, nursing a wide variety of cases. I have worked in practice since 2016, and I enjoy meeting all our clients and their fur family members and doing everything I can to help care for their needs. I have rehomed many animals over the years and currently have a diabetic Yorkshire Terrier called Peter, who can often be seen in reception keeping a close eye on everything.

My name is Tilly and i am the VCA here at Medivet Welling, aspiring to be a registered vet nurse. My love for animals has always been a significant part of my life since before i can remeber. At home i have a beautiful cat, lizards, geckos and frogs. I have a soft spot for stray animals and end up wanting to take them all home with me. Vet Nursing is the perfect job for me, I love seeing happy pets and happy owners. <3

Bad treatment of my dog at West Kensington and totally ignored my dog. Almost left my dog blind due to malpractice. Run away from West Kensington Medivet; they don't know what they are doing. Also, very, very expensive.

Very disappointing experience at the West Kensington branch. My dog’s eye was not examined properly, and the foxtail seed was missed despite the expensive consultation. I completely lost confidence in their service.

I had a deeply disappointing experience involving both the Medivet West Kensington and Gloucester Road branches after my dog developed an eye problem caused by a sharp foxtail grass seed picked up in the park. Despite taking my dog to be examined, I was told that there was no seed in his eye. However, the irritation continued, and it later became clear that a seed was present after all. At the West Kensington branch, I was also told that my dog might need to be placed under general anaesthetic simply to remove it, even though he was calm and cooperative. In the end, I managed to remove the visible seed from my dog’s eye myself. It was extremely frustrating to feel that I had effectively carried out the task for which I had already sought and paid for professional veterinary care. The overall treatment reportedly cost around £350, yet I was left feeling that the original problem had not been properly identified or resolved. Based on this experience, I completely lost confidence in both the West Kensington and Gloucester Road branches. I expected a careful examination, a clear explanation of the available options and treatment proportionate to my dog’s condition, but I did not feel that this was provided.😡😡😡😡😡

I regret purchasing the monthly routine healthcare plan for my two dogs. The plan was explained as covering certain routine checks, but when I attempted to use the included services, I was told that additional charges would apply. Based on the terms provided when I joined, I know these checks were already included, so the extra costs felt unjustified and misleading. I paid approximately £85 for the first month for two dogs, and I was also surprised by a £13 joining fee that had not been made sufficiently clear to me beforehand. Another concern was that the plan did not appear anywhere in my online Medivet account, making it difficult to confirm what I had purchased, what was included, or whether the plan was active. The whole experience made me feel that the focus was more on collecting additional payments than providing the services promised under the plan. Staff did not properly explain the charges or resolve my concerns by referring clearly to the plan’s terms and conditions. On top of that they were rude both at west kensington branch and gloucester road in south kensington. I am now seeking cancellation of the plan and a refund of any money charged for services that should have been included. Based on this experience, I would not recommend medivet at all.
